Infection control is a serious issue within all built environments – schools, hospitals, nurseries, public buildings, leisure centres, any environment where people interact and can transfer bacteria onto surfaces. Recently there has been a wealth of news regarding infection control with the NHS facing problems of MRSA and C.diff within all NHS environments. Leaderflush Shapland has taken steps to provide infection control products through the use of Hygienilac – an anti-microbial additive that kills 99.9% of bacteria even at spore level.

Hygienilac is added to all Leaderflush Shapland veneered products as standard – this provides anti-bacterial protection against C.diff, MRSA, Salmonella and a wealth of other bacteria’s. The additive prevents the bacteria of access to nutrients so they starve and die with a kill rate of 99.9% over a 24 hour period.
